About Carol
Carol Parsons has been proud to call Waterloo home since 1989, when she graduated from Laurier University. After raising her two children and seeing them off to university, Carol and her husband Terry moved uptown to enjoy the vibrancy of Waterloo’s urban heart.
Carol has enjoyed working nearly three decades in the insurance industry, most recently at Cowan, focusing on non-profit community leadership. She works with many organizations in the Waterloo region

such as House of Friendship and Lutherwood, designing affordable benefits programs that help foster a healthy and engaged workforce.
Community service is central to Carol’s life. She has volunteered at local charities and lent her managerial and relationship-building skills to organizations like the United Way Waterloo Region, where she currently sits on the Board.
Carol has a long track record of community building, so running for city council was a natural progression. Friends and colleagues know Carol to be a warm, energetic person who excels at bringing people together to find common ground. She is committed to bringing all of her experience, dedication, and enthusiasm to the job of City Councillor for Ward 7.
